Join NatureScot on Saturday, 12th October, for an unforgettable guided walk through the stunning Kinloch Glen, where you'll have the unique opportunity to witness the dramatic red deer rut. Accompanied by expert researchers from the Isle of Rum Red Deer Project, you'll spend the afternoon in a deer hide, immersing yourself in the action of one of nature’s most fascinating spectacles.
Event Details:
Date: Saturday, 12th October
Meeting Point: Kinloch Village Hall at 9:30 AM
Return: Arrive at Kilmory for a packed lunch at 12:00 PM and return by 5:00 PM for the last ferry.
What to Expect:
Participants will embark on a 10-mile round trip through the picturesque nature reserve, navigating mostly dry but uneven terrain. Be sure to wear sturdy boots and waterproof clothing, as conditions can change quickly in this beautiful landscape. Don’t forget to bring along your packed lunch, camera, and binoculars for an enhanced experience!
